Dalmeny and Inchcolm Island

Last week I went with my cousin and her friends to visit Inchcolm Island. It has an old ruined abbey on it which you can get to with a ferry from the cute little seaside town of Dalmeny. Dalmeny is located on the south side of the Firth of Forth, between the two bridges. Below are a couple pictures of the iconic Forth Rail Bridge. I have traveled over this bridge on the train many times, so it was nice to be on the ground and capture it in all its glory.

Inchcolm Island was really beautiful, and it was nice to be able to walk around and explore the ruins of the Abbey. Lots of seagulls nesting though! I love how many places there are to explore with castles and ruins in the United Kingdom! So many photogenic places. 🙂
